Our process starts on site—walking the landscape together to understand your inspirations and uncover its potential. We then develop design concepts that align with your lifestyle, architectural setting, schedule, budget, and long-term care goals. At this stage we establish the overall visions and the direction of the landscape.
Design Development &
Pricing Excercise
Building on the approved schematic design, we develop the layout in greater detail—exploring materials, lighting, planting, and special site features. These drawings help clarify the scope of work so contractors can provide pricing and the project can stay aligned with the budget. We review the design together, make any needed adjustments, and refine it further before moving into construction documentation.
Planning Review & Permits
Some projects require Planning review and Building permits before construction can begin. During this phase, we prepare the necessary drawings and coordinate closely with the broader project team to support the submittal process. We help navigate local requirements, respond to agency comments, and refine the design as needed to align with GreenPoint Rated, WELO, and Fire-safe guidelines.
Construction Documents &
Field Observations
Following design approval, we prepare a coordinated construction document set that translates the design into clear, buildable instructions.
During construction, we remain engaged through field observation—reviewing submittals, responding to field questions, and supporting the team to ensure the design is executed as intended.
